Contact Information

Pedro Serrano-Mejia is a doctoral student at the FSU College of Social Work. Pedro is a Salvadoran-American first-generation college student. He is passionate about protecting children and youth affected by the child welfare system. He has hopes to investigate child welfare policy, with the aim of reducing child mortalities and fatalities. Pedro earned a BSW and MSW from the University of South Florida. His research interests are focused on child welfare, macro social work, policy analysis, interdisciplinary collaboration, and stigma.
