As a hospice, our primary function is a holistic approach with patients who have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less.  The diagnosis range from end stage congestive heart failure to dementia to cancer.  We treat patients in all social economic levels.  Our age range is adults.  We do not treat children.  The social workers assist the patient and family with disease acceptance, placement when needed, emotional support, etc.

Special Information: 

BSW and MSW clinical students. Students need transportation and travel is not reimbursed by the agency.  There is not a stipend available. Students do not need individual liability as long as they are covered by the school. Video and audio taping are not permitted without written permission from the patient. The agency hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. Weekend and evening hours are not available.
