Shands Rehab Hospital serves patients 14 years and older who require intensive nursing and rehabilitation care by physical. Occupational and speech therapists.  We serve patients who suffered traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputation, orthopedic surgery, burn survivors, multi-trauma disability and cancer.

Special Information

MSW 2nd Year and Advance Standing Clinical only.  Student will need their own transportation, student travel is not reimbursed.  There is no stipend available, there is no housing; video and/or audio taping is allowed only if appropriate legal releases are signed and validated in patient medical charts, and students will need documentation of liability insurance.  Regular hours are 8am to 5pm, however, these hours vary based on patient and physician needs.  Weekends are also required on a rotating basis for Saturday coverage.  There are 4 case manager (3 are RNs) and a case management assistant.
