South Florida Wellness Network, Inc. (SFWN) is a recovery focus support network which is run and driven by youth, adult and family peers.  We provide support services to youth and adults suffering from mental health challenges and substance use disorders.  We provide services to individuals 9 to over 65.  The role of social work in the agency is supervising the peers (staff), support groups, community outreach, assessments, and crisis intervention.

Special Information

BSW 32 hours, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and advanced standing, Full and Part-time. Social Policy and Administration, part-time BSW, part-time MSW.  The intern will need to be able to transport herself to community events on some occasions.  Travel and stipends are not available but the bus is.  Students do not need Liability insurance.  Videotaping is not permitted but audio taping is permitted upon approval of the individual.  We are open now M-F 8am-7pm but also have a lot of weekend events.  We will also be opening the wellness center soon which will be M-S 8 am to 9 pm and Sun 9-5.
