As your new dean, it is an honor to lead you into an exhilarating 2023 fall semester for the College of Social Work at Florida State University.

All of you are invaluable members of our community. My fellow alumni and supporters, we are continuously grateful for your presence and contributions. I am eager to engage with my alma mater and with you. I hope to see many of you at our upcoming Dean’s Welcome Reception on October 5th. 

And to our new and returning students, I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to our academic family. You represent an important continuation of more than 100 years of social work/social welfare at FSU. I hope you can take advantage of our Welcome Week activities and connect with each other and our dedicated faculty and staff.
