Why Should You Study Abroad in Costa Rica?

Image

Students, Costa Rica is the adventure and learning experiences of a life time. Costa Rica welcomes you with beautiful scenery, friendly people, and opportunities to improve your Spanish language skills, to learn about their health care and social service agencies, and Latino culture through a unique immersion experience.

You will live with a “Tico” family while studying Spanish at the esteemed Conversa Linguistic Center (www.Convers.com) . As a group we will visit health care and social service agencies within the community of Santa Ana. These are the same agencies that provide care to the community in which you will live and to the the families, older adults, and children with whom you will interact daily. We will have special language sessions that will provide the vocabulary, syntax, and mannerisms for care provision for Latino individuals, groups, and families in the U.S. and abroad. Finally, we will travel throughout Costa Rica to the Pacific Coast, the Rain Forest, and the volcano region. We will be swimming, zip-lining, hiking, and whitewater rafting along the way. Our last night will be in the world recognized Pacuare Lodge, one of the 25 best EcoTourism Lodges in the world (www.Pacuarelodge.com).

The costs are reasonable and inclusive, the weather is great, and the people are the friendliest in the world. Contact me at jmunn@fsu.edu with questions and visit our informational webpage.
