Information

CCC focuses on providing person centered care. Clients can choose from an array of services including individual and relational long-term counseling, 8-week skills building courses offered individually or for couples, 8-weeks skills building groups, ongoing support groups. To increase interns’ ability to provide these services, interns engage an initial 3-day onboarding process in addition to completing readings and surveys in preparation for the clinical orientation. Once they complete the orientation, and are ready to see clients, they participate weekly in: one hour of individual supervision; 1.5 hours of training; 1.5 hours of case consultation focused on developing “Psychoanalytic Sensibility and Honoring Individual Differences”.

All sessions are held at CCC, at our partner agency (Wellmama) or online. Generalist level students are at CCC for a minimum of 6-8 a week, with the remaining hours completed at the office or remotely. Video and audio taping are permitted as long as the client signs the consent to record form AND the university supplies the HIPAA compliant recording and storing platform. CCC is accessible by bus.

All sessions are held during the week, preferably between 8am and 5pm. For online sessions, sessions can go until 7pm, with approval. Weekly trainings on Mondays from 1:15-2:45 for all students. Clinical level students also participate in weekly case consultation on Wednesday afternoons. Although 1 semester students may be accepted, 2 semesters are recommended to allow students a richer experience seeing clients through the entire treatment process. No stipend.
