Information

The Center for Grieving Children provides a safe space, loving peer support, outreach and education to grieving children, teens, families, schools, and the community. We offer three different programs – bereavement, tender living care, intercultural.

Interns complete our 30 hour volunteer training, and have the opportunity to work within the three programs as a group co-facilitator. Interns will also be trained to be interviewers for our intake process and have the opportunity to participate in these initial family meetings, among other meaningful learning experiences within the organization.

A student will need transportation to and from the Center for groups and other involvement; travel is not reimbursed; no stipend is available; students do not need their own liability insurance; no video or audio taping is permitted; agency is open M-F 9-5, with groups running in the evenings M-Th – evening hours are available/required for internship, no weekends; the agency is accessible by city bus.
