The primary function of Florida Impact is to assist in combatting food insecurity and hunger through various channels, including advocacy, community engagement & education, and outreach projects. Our clients come from various backgrounds and face different challenges making our work essential for those struggles to make ends meet. Our work caters to individuals of all ages, addressing the unique needs of children youth, families, and college students. We also have plans to work with veterans, seniors, and returning citizens. Social Workers can play a important role in various aspects of our organization- Advocacy & Support: Organize listening to sessions and focused groups to understand challenges faced by community residents. Special Placement Information:
The Agency accepts BSW Full-time (Social Leadership), Part-time BSW. The student will need transportation. The agency will reimburse travel for travel
outside of Leon County. Video and taping is only permitted by those participants and guardians of minor grant permission by way of a signed permission slip. Hours 9-5, some weekend events. However, we are flexible with days and hours. Our office is currently at TCC Center. We are possibly moving to a new location. Yes, the office location is available by bus.
