Information

The Multidisciplinary Center serves pre-school and school-aged children who are experiencing severe and/or complex academic, medical, and/or behavioral/emotional problems. Children and their families are referred by twenty school districts in the Florida Panhandle, and other state and community agencies.
Social work interns work with other interns and staff from other disciplines in completing evaluations by conducting bio-psychosocial interviews with parent. In addition, they participate in school-based counseling in neighboring counties, and co-lead social skills and/or emotional regulation groups in the clinic. While at the Multicenter interns will also be trained to administer adaptive functioning measures, write therapy notes, and perform case management activities.
