Agency Description:

We serve all people in need of diapers and period supplies through Broward County Florida. Babies, adults, elderly, disabled, and veterans. The social workers work with clients to ensure they have access to case management services and well as diapers. They assist with loneliness and isolation for the elderly and can facilitate case management and post partum support groups. Social Workers are also responsible for grant writing and fundraising. 

Intern Job Description:
Grant writing for available grants, fundraising, community engagement, meeting with people in need, giving out diapers, assisting with group facilitation, assisting with day to day operations of the diaper bank, listening to individual therapy, practicing case management, and note taking. Running diaper drives and assisting with volunteers. 

Special Information:

This agency accepts part-time MSW1st Year and 2nd Year Advanced Standing students (clinical) students. We are very flexible. We can do evenings and weekends if needed for the right fit. Transportation will be needed.
