Agency Description:

We provide outpatient mental health therapy services and in-home behavioral health services.  We serve individuals (adults and children) as well as provide couples counseling, family therapy, and group therapy to all ages.  The tasks and responsibilities of the intern include shadowing, co-counseling, assessment and social histories, treatment planning and implementation, both direct and indirect learning through training and assigned readings.  The intern will also be responsible for file upkeep, documentation, and collateral contact and reports if appropriate.  The intern will participate in individual and group supervision weekly.

Special Information:

Accepting part-time MSW 1st Year students.  We prefer students to be with us for two semesters to have the experience of following a client through their treatment longer.  Also, in order to have more opportunities to practice.  The internship is located in an outpatient setting.  Recording is not permitted unless arrangements have been made and approved by the supervisor in advance.  Hours fluctuate, but typically from 8am to 7pm when there will be someone in the office to provide supervision.
