A New Leaf’s continuum of services is designed to meet the diverse needs of all individuals, inclusive of all ages, ethnicities, cultures, religions, sexual orientations, and genders.

A structured educational experience that includes networking opportunities, supervision by trained professionals, with both formal & informal training. Introduction to all A New Leaf services & programs via tours, interviews, literature, and internal events. Letter of Recommendation listing accomplishments upon completion.
Requirements vary by placement but may include: 3 months commitment minimum; 10-20 hours per week; AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card; Ability to pass a background check; TB and Drug Screenings; Driver's License/Photo ID; reliable transportation for onsite positions. No video or audio taping is permitted. We do not reimburse for traveling. Most programs operate M-F 8 am- 5pm, limited evening & weekend positions. Only one department stipends.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate and successfully complete all required training A New Leaf deems necessary
Always maintain standards of confidentiality and professionalism
Work cooperatively and respectfully with shelter staff, leadership, and clients
Opportunities are available for a variety of skill & education levels (H.S./Certificate Programs/AA/AS/BA/BS/MA/MS/BSW/MSW/MFT/Counseling etc.)
You can work in marketing, videography, fundraising, data management, grants, social media, technical communications, capstone, human resources, construction management, project management and IT.
Work on the ground level of nonprofit work helping survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence.
Work in homeless shelters and housing programs helping those most in need in our community.
You will get hands on experience in assessments, training plans, conducting workshops, supervising others, strategic planning and more.
Work with children in need at after-school programs, helping facilitate healthy social interactions, emotional processing, and more.
Work directly with clinicians to provide behavioral health services to A New Leaf’s clients. Geared towards Advanced Practice student social workers, counselors, and therapists (MSW, MFT, LPC, etc.).
