Palmetto Community Action Partnership (Palmetto CAP) serves the economically disadvantaged residents of Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester counties with self-sufficiency and basic needs. We provide emergency services and empowerment programs to eradicate situational and generational poverty.

Intern job description:
Intern will be working in Asset Building Department. They will assist with screening and providing services and follow-up in these areas: 
Managing money
Using credit and banking
Tax preparation
Incentive programs that will assist clients with increasing their savings
Referrals and assistance with housing issues

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Intern will be provided transportation for community and outreach events.
Agency will provide liability insurance.
Video-/audio-taping permitted with staff, supervisor, and client approval.
Main office accessible by public transit. 
Evening and weekend hours available.
Vaccination, social distancing, and mask-wearing required.
Remote work available.
