Practicum and Intern students receive a thorough clinical education and develop a strong basis of clinical skills. Internships are a voluntary position and do not receive a stipend or travel reimbursement. Students will be required to have a background screen cleared before internship begins to comply with state requirements for programs serving youth and at risk populations. Students will shadow Master’s level and Licensed clinicians during the training process and will be able to co-facilitate and facilitate services once training is complete.

Special Information:

The agency accepts MSW I & MSW II full – time placements for clinical only. Phoenix Programs of Florida are CARF accredited and licensed by Florida Department of Children and Families to provide assessment, outpatient, intensive outpatient and residential treatment services. Individuals that meet criteria for substance use disorders and may have a co-occurring mental health diagnosis receive a thorough assessment and quality outpatient and residential treatment services. Outpatient services are provided in 3 locations in Hillsborough County. Adolescent treatment services are offered at 2 locations in West and East Hillsborough County. Adults are provided services at 3 locations in Hillsborough County.
