Recovery Bay Center is a Substance Use Treatment Program that offers a full continuum of care from detox to outpatient services for clients with a substance use or co-occurring substance use and mental health diagnosis. The program is for males only, ages 18 years and older. Medication management, assessments, groups, and individual treatment are offered. Clients may also participate in groups in the community, as well as 12 step meetings.
Intern Job Description
MSW interns will be assigned the role of primary therapist for a small caseload. They will be responsible for all individual sessions and documentation of sessions for their caseload. Documentation will include assessments, treatment planning, and clinical progress notes. The intern will also be assigned regular weekly groups to facilitate and document.

Special Placement Information:

MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students, The intern will be covered by Recovery Bay's liability insurance. Audio taping is permitted with permission of the client. The agency is open 7 days a week and is staffed round the clock. The business office is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. A Covid 19 vaccine is not required.
