The School District of Lee County is the 32nd largest School District in the nation, educating over 100.000 students at over 100 school sites across the county.  Our students are served in grades Pre0K through Adult Education, are incredibly diverse coming from 52 nations and came from a broad range of ethic, cultural, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds,  School Social workers provide culturally competent services to any student in need, covering all school locations to support student success and engagement.  
Intern Job Description:
Interns can expect to either observe or participate in various school/student interventions and supports, including individual and group counseling, parent conference, home visits, truancy interventions, team meetings, completing Social Developmental assessments, participating in trainings, and other tasks/responsibilities relevant to school social work.  

Special Placement Information:

The Agency accepts MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students.  Student will need to provide transport to/from any assigned, placement site:  mileage is not reimbursed as they can ride with supervisor to any additional locations.  Fingerprinting is required at intern's expense.  No current vaccine requirement, no video/audio taping.  Hours are during regular school days.
