Special Placement Information:
The Agency accepts BSW full-time MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, Part-time BSW, and Part-time MSW. The student does need transportation if they are interested in our Outpatient program as we provide services to clients in their homes and often during the afternoon and evening hours. If, however, they ask to be placed in the residential program, the placement is at the residential facility in Pembroke Pines & the hours are 9:00 am-4:00 pm. We also have an Outpatient program in Broward County. Outpatient offers a lot more flexibility regarding day/afternoon and evening hours however, we do not have staff working in the field past 7:00 am-7:30 pm. The interns will always shadow a licensed clinician in the field. They also receive training in all the EBP models we use with clients. Along with face-to-face therapy sessions, and training the interns also attend weekly clinical case conferences, community outreach meetings, and drug and family court as well as can participate in any other programmatic activities that they can benefit from.
