Seminole County's leading social service hub. The Family in Crisis program offers help with rent/mortgage and utilities, the pantry offers free food assistance, and the Oasis is the drop-in resource Center -the Homeless can use our laundry service, take a shower, get a haircut, and have a hot meal. Project Rise helps adults who are unemployed or underemployed obtain and keep jobs, and mental health counseling is provided at no cost to the clients we serve.
Special Placement Information:
The agency accepts MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year, and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, Part-time MSW. There is no travel involved, but if travel is required, reimbursement is available, and there's no stipend, it's an unpaid internship. Agency hours are 8:30=5:00 Monday through Friday, and the mental health program hours run to 4:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Sharing Center is on the Bus line. The Sharing Center is an organization built on Christian principles. Our mission statement is that through Christ, we provide Dignified solutions for those experiencing poverty and homelessness. I do allow interns to record sessions once cleared by the client.
