Girls Inc of Greater Atlanta inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy. We provide direct service through school based, afterschool, weekend, and summer camp programs. We serve all students, regardless of gender, K-12 through a variety of programming, including social emotional learning sessions and 1:1 behavioral health sessions to address personal development areas such as feelings, emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, identification of feelings, and communication. programming is delivered through program facilitators, who provide group mentoring to groups of students based on grade level. Direct, clinical support is provided by behavioral specialists, who observe, assess, and support students with emotional and behavioral needs in the afterschool setting.
Students will need their own transportation to get to each site. The agency does not reimburse for travel and there is no travel stipend available. Students do not need liability insurance, as that is covered by the agency. Video and audio taping is not permitted unless authorized by the agency prior to taping. The hours of the agency vary by site, as we provide afterschool programming between 1-6 pm at some sites. Our administrative office is open 9AM to 5PM. Our sites are accessible by bus, but a care is recommended due to the sites being far apart, should on go to multiple sites.
