Minneapolis Public schools is the school district of choice for 28,000 students and their families. Relationships with families and community partners are critical component of helping all learners.

Our Mission: Minneapolis Public Schools exists to provide a high quality, anti-racist, culturally responsive education for every Minneapolis student.

Our vision:   All students--regardless of their background, zip code, and personal needs-- will receive an anti-racist, holistic education that builds essential knowledge to prepare students for future success.

Our schools offer an array of magnet and community school options throughout the city, including Montessori, Open International Baccalaureate, math/science/technology, and art to name a few. School grade configurations include preK-5, preK-8, and paired elementary campuses: 6-8 middle schools and 9-12 high schools. Our 70 schools are as varied and unique as Minneapolis 84 neighborhoods. These students come from a variety of socioeconomic, racial and cultural backgrounds, and speak a number of languages.
