Information

Over the past three decades, Partnership for Child Health (the Partnership), has evolved as a uniquely successful trans-disciplinary Center of Excellence to advocate for and develop and implement services, programs and systems of care to advance the child health priorities of our community. It has done so by leveraging and coalescing regional and national knowledge, experience and resources, collaborating with the State, participating with and learning from national professional organizations, aggressively pursuing philanthropic and competitive grant dollars. The Partnership has become the only regional forum that brings together public, private, non-profit and academic sector institutions and organizations to identify, mobilize and address priority issues of child health and well-being. Board meetings include the heads of the regional health departments, Children’s Medical Services leadership, representatives of the Florida Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Associations, Early Steps, Child Protection Team and other invited guests, in addition to the core Board members.  The Partnership currently serves children and families of any age through the many initiatives and programs we oversee. This includes the Hall Halliburton Project for Collaborative Care, Snyder Family Cleft & Craniofacial Program, SAMHSA Jacksonville System of Care, Criminal Justice, Mental Health & Substance Abuse Expansion Grant, Duval County Diversion system of Care, SAMHSA - Building a Resilient Jacksonville System of Care (BRJ-SOC), Project INSPIRE - Identifying Needs and Supports to Partner, Intervene, Reengage and Educate, CMS – RNAQ, Advancing Health Literacy to Enhance Equitable Responses to COVID-19 in Jacksonville’s Health Zone 1, Reaching Equity in Vaccine Access and Uptake (Project Reach), Mitigating Injustice in the Justice System: Advancing Health Equity Among Youth in Communities of Color, and Mental Health Training Grant. The foundational principles of social work are woven into each program with the heart of each initiative aiming to serve the children and families within Jacksonville.
