We are a Day Treatment Program uner the auspices of AMI Kids. Funding comes from the Department of Juvenile Justice and our local school district along with donations and fundraisers. This non-profit agency helps at risk youth ages 13-18 years old. The goal is to “turn the lives around” of young individuals on juvenile probation. They receive academic instruction, experiential instruction, GED preparation, mentoring, vocational training, and complete many hours of community services. We work hand in hand with community organizations, DJJ, and family. The role of the social worker in this setting would be to partake in case management responsibilities-case files, treatment team meetings, enrollment, activities.
