Information

ABM Counseling Center, LLC is a grass roots substance use treatment program founded by individuals who understand addiction from both a professional and personal standpoint.
We understand addiction, the inherent impact it has on the individual as well as the individuals family and community. We believe that every individual has the ability to fulfill their potential and that what they need is to understand their addiction and how to utilize the tools they will learn to accomplish their goals and claim their sobriety and recovery. ABM has a Master's Certified Addiction Professional that conducts assessments, prepares treatment plans, runs groups, and has weekly individual sessions. The goal is to preserve the family unit while providing stability, support, and education to the patient, their family, and their community. ABM Counseling Center, LLC is licensed by the Department of Children and Families-Substance Abuse and Mental Health Department and CARF Accredited. ABM is an Intensive Outpatient/Substance Abuse Treatment Program which serves adult men and women as well as adolescent clients ages 12-80, who suffer from or have been exposed to substances which have negatively impacted their lives and various life areas.
As a Social Worker working with this specific population, the intern will engage with clients and assist them in identifying their triggers and cues, co-occurring disorders such as anxiety and depression and other stress factors such as unemployment, homelessness, trauma, and abuse, then develop treatment, relapse, and prevention plans to help the client learn new tools and coping mechanisms to assist them in getting their lives back in order and abstain from any further drug use.
