Aware Central Texas (AWARE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a collective response to those who have experienced violence and trauma in Central Texas. 
Aware's services span throughout three programs: Family Violence Unity, Family Services Department, and Education Department.
Family Violence Unit:
Provides survivors of family violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse with services including comprehensive case management, individual advocacy, support groups, court and hospital accompaniment, assistance with safety planning, and Pro-Se Protective Order applications and more while also operating a 24/7 crisis hotline. 
Family Services Department:
Offers in-home parent education to families that have young children who are at-risk for abuse or neglect. 
Education Department:
Offers parenting classes, adult anger management classes, and juvenile anger management classes.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (social leadership) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Agency hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday. Weekend and evening hours available for students who work on 24/7 crisis hotline.
Transportation recommended, but not required. Agency accessible by public transit. Travel reimbursement not available.
Stipend not available.
