Beacon of Light was founded in response to the stigma surrounding Mental Health in the military and in our communities. 
Our goal is to encourage our clients to seek help, regardless of bias, and share the benefits with others. 
We serve veterans, active duty military, families, as well as the general population in KY and OH, via telehealth. Our clientele come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds, and range from adolescents to adults. 
We treat issues such as mood and personality disorders, substance use disorders, trauma, and bereavement. 
Beacon of Light accepts Medicaid, Tricare, and some forms of commercial insurance.

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available. 
Beacon of Light is nestled near the heart of downtown Elizabethtown. Transportation required. Agency accessible by public transit. 
Liability insurance required.
Video-/Audio-taping permitted with client and supervisor authorization.
Agency hours: 8:00AM-2:00PM, Monday-Friday. Evening hours available.
