The primary function and age of clients served at our substance use facility. Our facility serves adults, 18 and over, who are suffering from substance use and addiction. Our primary focus is on detoxification and residential treatment, with a focus on helping individuals learn how to manage their addictions and identify healthier coping strategies. We offer a comprehensive range of services to support our clients, including individual and family therapy, health education, and life skills training. We also offer clinical internships for qualified individuals that are interested in gaining experience in the field of substance use and addiction. As part of their internship, interns will receive training in addiction assessment, psychotherapy, group therapy, and case management. They will also have the opportunity to observe and participate in the treatment of our clients. We are committed to providing the initial phase of care in the recovery journey and support for lifelong recovery. We understand the importance of building a solid foundation during detox and residential care that will follow into the transitional phases of treatment. Our treatment philosophy stems from a recovery model that emphasizes support through holistic and evidence-based practices.
Special Placement Information:
There is no travel that will be happening while on the premises of Beacon recover, therefore there is no travel reimbursement that will be permitted. Students do not require liability insurance to intern with us however it is not discouraged. Video/ Audio taping is not permitted while interning with Beacon recovery center to protect the identity of those being served by us. The hours available for working students is Monday - Sunday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm. Beacon recovery center is accessible by bus. Interns should come prepared to learn and have a goal with what they would like to accomplish while interning with this facility.
