Beautiful Dreamers is a team of licensed mental health professionals, specializing in the unique treatment of behavioral and educational challenges for children (ages 3 to 17), adolescents and adults (all adult ages ranges). We have three office locations in St. Thomas and St. Croix USVI as well, Georgia.  Services include autism support services, outpatient therapy (individual, group and couples), psychiatry, psychological evaluations and psychoeducational services (parenting, art therapy). Social workers within the agency provide all services aside from psychiatry but are involved in coordinated care with psychiatry.
Intern Job Description:
A social work intern MSW intern in their second field internship experience will observe and shadow a CISW (equivalent of LCSW) in providing therapy services. They also will assist with case management tasks such as coordinated care with other service providers and caretakers. They will complete intake assessments, biopsychosocial assessments and progress notes for outpatient therapy services. Other tasks include assisting with and facilitating psycho-educational groups, serving on work groups for reviewing agency policy and procedure manuals as well as evidence-based practice evaluation.

Special Placement Information:

Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students, (Clinical), Part-time BSW, and Part-time MSW.
A student would need transportation to the agency. We do not transport clients. We do provide telehealth and a student may be involved in these appointments. We do not offer a stipend. We would like students to have liability insurance.  If the services, they will be providing as an intern are not covered by the University's insurance. A video or audio taping may be permitted with client's consent and a clear statement by the program instructor on how the information will be utilized. We also expect all BO Code to Conduct, NASW Code of Ethics and HIPPA confidentiality rules and regulations to be
maintained.  The agency hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm. The agency is accessible by bus and COVID-19 vaccinations are not required at this time.
