SAS Mission Statement: SAS is committed to providing empathic, non-judgmental comprehensive services, support and advocacy for survivors and others affected by sexual assault or abuse; raising awareness of sexual assault, and engaging others to help in holding offenders accountable and to achieve a community free of sexual violence. Masters interns gain experience in individual, family and group counseling, court Advocacy Center. Ages of clients: 5 years old and older.
Special Placement Information
MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing, (clinical), Part-time MSW. There will be no transportation duties. It is the responsibility of the university to cover liability insurance. No stipends. No taping. Hours 9:00-5:00 or 6:00. No weekend hours besides two Saturdays in the fall for training. On the bus line. Counseling Staff are all Masters Level. Six or seven are MSWs. The Child Advocacy Center
