Brooke's Place provides grief support services to children, teenagers, young adults (ages 3-29 years old), and their adult caregivers, following the death of a significant person in their lives.
Brooke's Place is a 501c3 non-profit organization. 
Services provided include: peer-based grief support groups, therapy services with licensed counselors, a weekend grief camp (ages 7-17 years old), community education, and outreach events.
Brooke's Place's mission is to empower grieving youth and families to thrive in the midst of grief.

Intern job description:
- Complete Facilitator Training Workshop
- Facilitate peer-based grief support group 2-3 times a week (ages 3-29 years old)
- Assist with new family support group intakes
- Call families for follow-up and support
- Monthly care cards mailed to families
- Outreach/Event support in community
- Office/Program administrative support
- Assist creating a "cause of death"-based resource document
- Support therapy services through administrative support
- Grief therapeutic activity planning and preparation for children, teenagers, young adults, and families
- Assist in creating special family grief support events

Special placement information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year (SL + clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Transportation required. 
Liability insurance required.
Video-/Audio-taping not permitted - supervisor can provide an in-person group observation, if needed.
Agency hours: 8:30AM-4:30PM EST.
Support group program hours: 5:00PM-9:30PM, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
COVID-19 vaccination recommended, not required.
