Canyon Hills Treatment Facility is a 24-hour secure Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility that serves males from the ages of 6-18 years of age that have mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse needs.  CHTF has staff that includes 2 psychiatrists, a full-time nursing department on site 24 hours a day, a clinical department with three MSW social works that include LCSW, LCAS, CSOTS, TF-CBT, and DV certifications, with staff of approximately 50 direct care staff and an education department that addresses all grades on site.

Special Placement Information

BSW Full time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing, (Clinical) Student will need their own transportation and will e allowed to work varied hours since the facility s open 24 hours day.  All interns are required to CPR and EBPI certified before working with the consumers.  Video and audio are permitted if the intern does not mention names or include any identifying information in the assignment.  All interns will complete confidentiality statements and submit to a background check if not already completed by the university.
