CHMC serves children birth though 21 years old across our continuum which includes Children's Physician's Offices in the Community, specialty division and inpatient care.  CHMC provides medical care for a variety of injuries, discusses, genetic disorders, mental health, etc.  social work collaborates with the medical team to assist in the care and treatment of patients and families.  social work helps with adjustment to a new diagnosis, crisis intervention, child abuse/neglect, financial resources, diagnosis specific resources, address SDOH need, completes mental health assessments in the ED, mental health resources and support safe discharge planning.  

Special Placement Information:

Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students.  Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Do not require travel.  Will have weekly group supervision as well as monthly.
