Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is an international leader in pediatric medicine, research and education. There are over 250 Social Workers employed at CCHMC in various roles, both clinical and leadership. Social workers are embedded in medical teams, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, schools and community settings. Social workers provide ongoing support and counseling, crisis intervention, assessment, education, advocacy and connection to community resources. Special Placement Information:
The agency is accepting MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing (Clinical), Part-time MSW. CCHMC is easily accessible through all modes of transportation. Travel is not required for students, and therefore not reimbursed. There may be some opportunities for a paid/stipend internship. CCHMC is open 24/7/365 and a social worker is always on site to provide specialized expertise. We have strict COVID/flu/immunization requirements due to our work with compromised patients. There are no immunization exceptions made for students.
