Communicare provides primarily outpatient community-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Substance abuse disorders, and mental health issues to individuals in six northern counties of rural Mississippi. We serve children, adults, and families. We have social workers involved throughout our agency in a variety of roles from case management to therapists, supervisors, and program administration.
Special Placement Information:
The agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical students. Clinical, Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW. The student will need transportation to and from the internship location. Other travel will be with agency staff, or without reimbursement. Liability insurance for auto is required. Videotaping must be pre-approved by site supervisor and only with written consent from patient, per policy. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Oxford locations are accessible by bus.
