Coral Shores Behavioral Health is a free-standing psychiatric hospital located in Stuart Florida providing inpatient acute psychiatric treatment to adults, children, and adolescents. The role of the social worker is to complete psychosocial assessments, and treatment plans, collaborate with family and outpatient providers, and coordinate safe discharge planning, family sessions, and group therapy. Our facility also has an opportunity for the student to also be exposed to the admissions department and our outpatient department which provides Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient level of care.
Special Placement Information:
Accepting BSW, MSW 1st-year, and MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available. A student will require their transportation to the placement and all work is conducted on-site. Liability insurance is included in the contract with the student's school and CSBH. Audio and Video taping is not permitted in this setting. Hours for the social workers typically are from 8-4:30 and we provide care 7 days a week. Depending on the student's schedule, alternative arrangements of hours can be permitted dependent on supervisor approval.
