Covenant House Florida (CHF) serves runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth under the age of 21. CHF provides an array of services including shelter, life skills training, GED, clinical services, parenting classes, and job readiness training. The goal of CHF is to assist the youth in achieving mental and physical stability in order to assist the individual in attaining independence or reunification with family when appropriate. The clinical services that are provided include individual, group, and family counseling.
Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Due to the nature of the population, interns that will be present for more than one semester are preferred.
Interns are not expected to transport clients.
Liability insurance required.
Video-/Audio-taping not permitted.
Agency hours: 24/7. Weekend and evening hours available. Interns are not permitted to work less than a four hour shift and no more than an eight hour shift.
