Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch provides residential treatment services to kids ages 10-17 utilizing two different levels of care (PRTF and QRTP). This is an agency that utilizes a team approach with Occupational Therapists, Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Case Managers, Nurses, On-site school staff, and Residential Treatment Specialists. Social workers often are in a role of a case manager and that role is to make sure that every aspect of a kid's treatment is being taken care of and serves as a liaison between the treatment team and the referral/parent.

Special Placement Information:

BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Students, Part-time BSW, and Part-time MSW.  Students do need their own liability insurance; travel is not required and if it is it will be covered by the agency. We do allow videotaping with consent from the kid and parent/referral.  Typical office hours are 9-5 Monday-Friday; however, some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the kids and families.
