NFETC is a state forensic mental health hospital. We serve males who are facing at least one felony charge and have been identified as incompetent to proceed by the courts. Our focus is stabilization and achieving competency. We also serve males who have been identified as not guilty by reason of insanity. For them, we focus on stabilization and counseling services with a goal for them to be released to a less restrictive environment.
Special Placement Information:
The Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical Students, (Clinical), Part-time BSW, Part-time MSW. In order to be placed at NFETC the student will need to pass a level 2 background screening. The student will require their own transportation as we are not on the bus route. The internship is unpaid. The student would have to complete their hours between 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. This is a forensic environment so there is a strict dress code and cell phones are not allowed in the secure area. Liability insurance is required.
