State of Florida: The Department of Children and Families is the public Child Welfare Agency in the state of Florida. The mission of the Department of Children and Families is to work in partnership with local communities to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. Within the Office of Child and Family Well-Being- Being we work with children and families in crisis and with families where there have been allegations of child abuse and neglect. We work with children and families with various complexities such as poverty, mental health, and substance use.
