Information

The Unconquered Scholars Program provides an array of support services promoting overall personal success to youth who
have experienced foster care, homelessness, relative care, or ward of the State status. Students in the program are between the ages of 18 to 22, and vary in ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc. The role of social work is to provide direct support services, case management, advocacy, mentorship, and program development. The program is based on a strengths- and systems-focused social work perspective. The Program staff works with students to re-author their stories, overcome imposter syndrome, and prepare to launch into life after graduation. Additional details about the practice associated with a second-year MSW internship are attached in a separate document.
