Through voluntary and involuntary admission, GMH provides inpatient mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring trauma-informed treatment for adults, eighteen and older.  The goal of the psychosocial Services/Social Work Department is to provide trauma-informed, recovery-focused tools and community support to help successful return to the community.  The five Basic services provided are assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, community linkage, and group/ individual therapy.  The social work staff is part of the multidisciplinary team, the treatment team, and collaborate to ensure the patient is receiving the best care in all aspects.

Special Placement Information

BSW full time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and advanced standing, (clinical), part-time BSW, part-time MSW.  The agency hour includes weekends and evenings.  Since it is a 24/7 facility, hours can be flexible.
