Agency Description:

HCA FCH Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program is a group therapy-based IOP explicitly targeted for adolescents age 13-17 years of age who need a higher level of outpatient care. Patient care is provided Monday through Thursday, offering three groups a day between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm, primarily utilizing principles of DBT, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and others. Through grout therapies and medication management through psychiatric services, patients receive mental health care for an average of 3 to 6 weeks for a myriad of symptoms, diagnoses, and problems to increase their capacity to cope and additional resiliency to improve their quality of life.

Special Information:

Accepting MSW 1st Year and MSW 2nd Year/Advanced Standing students (Clinical Only) Full-time and part time. Placements through HCA Florida Capital Hospital are unpaid and require a level 2 background check with fingerprinting and student liability insurance. The Hospital does not cover these costs. Additionally, students at the Adolescent IOP are expected during regular program hours (Monday - Thursday 11:30 am -8:00 pm). The agency is conveniently located on campus, near public transit. In rare cases, travel to the main campus may be required, but ample notice.
