Agency Description:

HCA FCH’s Behavioral Health Center has an Acute Adult Psychiatric Unit.  We serve people ages 18 and up who need crisis stabilization. Our patient’s average length of stay is 5-7 days. Social Workers provide group therapy and individual & family meetings, assessments, treatment planning, discharge planning, and care plans for patients. We also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team and participate in outreach activities. Social Workers will also support other departments like the Intake Dept. and nursing Depts.

Special Information

Accepting MSW 2nd year and Advanced standing students (Clinical Only) Full time & part-time placements available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Due to the type of unit we are in, we cannot allow video or audio taping. Liability is a requirement of HCA FCH, background screening, drug screen, shot records, and a few other items to be completed before starting an internship here.  Travel is not typically required, and we are on the bus routes. No Stipends are available.
