HCA Florida offers inpatient behavioral health services and PHP/IOP services in Outpatient behavioral health program.  The population that is served is adults 18+. The role of social worker in both inpatient and outpatient is to provide psycho-therapy groups, complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plans and progress notes. Provide individual therapy as needed. Provide case management and complete safe discharge instructions. Attend treatment team meetings to discuss patient care as a multidisciplinary approach. Work in collaboration with nursing department and physicians

Special Placement Information:
 

The Agency accept MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing, (Clinical), Part-time MSW.  The student will need their own transportation. Travel is not reimbursed by the agency and no stipend is given to students. The university is responsible for insurance for the student. Audio/video taping is not permitted. Weekend and evening hours are not available in the Outpatient behavioral health. Weekend hours are available in the inpatient setting. Evening hours are not available in the inpatient setting. The hospital is available by bus.
