The primary function of Healing Through Action is to provide trauma informed Mental Health services to the community. 
We are trained in body-based modalities such at Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. 
The population we tend to see in the office are trans folk, people with significant trauma histories, and/or children with anxiety. We also do outreach work to the community through the University of Michigan, and local schools to teach and share information about the 
importance of being trauma informed in all aspects of working with others.

Special placement information:
Accepting MSW 2nd-year/Advanced Standing (clinical) students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Students can make their own hours with respect to the other clinicians in the office. Student is responsible for tracking their hours
Stipend available. 
Liability insurance required (this can be discussed once placement has started.) 
Agency is accessible by public transit. Parking is $1.20 an hour and is available nearby.
