House of Hope's core service programs are Food Pantry, Clothes Closet Provides clothing, small household goods, and Project HOPE (provides financial assistance, case management, furniture and appliances, holiday program). All of our core programs can be accessed at each of our four locations: Stuart, Jensen beach, Hobe Sound, and Indiantown.
Student responsibilities at site:
- Assist HOH Staff with provision of all Project HOPE (Helping others progress through Empowerment) components, including but not limited to Financial assistance, Clothes Closet, Pantry services, Case management and Holiday Programs.
- Develop a resource referral base and build relationships with community-based organizations including educational, health governmental and other human service agencies.
- Assist HOD clients with information and referrals to empower the client to access community services and resources, which may include assisting clients with applications for public assistance programs including SNAP, health insurance and subsidized child care.
- Prepare and maintain case files Ensure accurate and timely collection of client data related to Project HOPE programs.
- Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
- Attend trainings as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Special placement information:
Accepting BSW and MSW 1st-year students. Full- and part-time positions available.
Background check required.
License required. Each student will need to provide his/her own vehicle to travel work site.
