JASMYN is a queer youth center that serves primarily LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults ages 13- 29 years old.
We provide community support to local schools and GSA networks, as well as programming for peer connection and education. We also provide a sexual health clinic where we offer testing and treatment, linkage to PrEP, as well as comprehensive case management and linkage to care for HIV positive clients. We provide support to young adults ages 18+ who are homeless and/or housing unstable, with access to our food pantry, and warm meals/snacks.
JASMYN holds various support groups for teens, young adults, and parents supporting LGBTQIA+ youth, and in 2020 we began providing individual Mental Health counseling.
Social Work skills are used in every aspect of JASMYN programming and services. Our facility operates through a trauma-informed, strengths-based lens. From HIV/ housing case management services to clinical health services, to our Mental Health services, and psychoeducational programing provided to youth, Social Work and social justice precedents are at the heart of everything JASMYN does.
