Provides quality health and wellness services that are inclusive, relevant, supportive and represent the lifetime continuum of the diverse people in our community. The centers provide premier comprehensive medical and social services. This includes HIV services and medical care, social activities and classes, support groups, counseling, health and wellness programs, psychiatric medication management and more for individuals of all ages. We strive to promote a health environment for all and foster diversity within the community as a whole, regardless or race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or economic status. The social worker's role in the agency is widespread as it focuses on narrowing the health disparities that affect individuals living with HIV and other marginalized individuals seeking services.
Special Placement Information:
Agency is accepting BSW Full-time, MSW 1st year students, MSW 2nd year and Advanced Standing Clinical students. The student will need access to transportation to work in the office, as well as potential options to meet with clients in the field. Travel will not be reimbursed for the student unless it is client related. There is no stipend available. Students who transport clients will need vehicle insurance that meets state requirements. No video or audio taping is permitted. The agency is open to serve the community between 8am and 5pm EST. There are limited evening and no weekend hours available with this placement. The offices are located near a bus line.
