The Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) of the Naval Hospital Jacksonville provides screening, preventive, and dual diagnosis rehabilitative services for substance use disorders. Our program places emphasis on patient acceptance of their inherent capability and desire to change in the least restrictive environment consistent with their goals of treatment. The SARP program is an abstinence based cognitive-behavioral program, which emphasizes skills-learning and psychosocial techniques for addiction rehabilitation. The program relies heavily upon group treatment techniques. Outside support groups such as AA, NA, Celebrate Recovery and SMART recovery are an adjunctive part of treatment and secondary to the core program. We serve active duty military, veterans, and their adult dependents.
