Information

The primary function of the agency is to assist crime victims in understanding and coping with the criminal justice process and their victimization.  Victim advocates provide information and orientation to the criminal justice system.  They offer crisis counseling as well as supportive counseling to individuals and families.  Victim Advocates maintain current information about community resources and provide referral information to victims to ensure their basic needs for food, and shelter as well emotional needs, are being met.  Upon request, advocates accompany victims to court to assure the victims; understanding of the criminal justice process and to provide emotional support.  The population served is diverse in age, race, and nationality. Special Placement Information:

The Agency is accepting Full-time and MSW 1st year students.  Agency hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  Accessible by public transportation Background check completed by the agency before confirmation of internship. The Agency is accepting Full-time and MSW 1st year students.
